Now, armed with a clutch of new songs, the band are set to hit the road again. The bizarrely named Hare Squead may be a relatively unknown quantity in London, but this pop/rnb/rap ensemble are definitely worthy of your attention. Hare Squead live are a different beast again with the online music magazine Clash describing the band’s gigs as a “riot”. It is quite a boast, but one that the band’s music is more than capable of living up to. The band have already featured in The Guardian, NME and Vice, with the latter describing the band’s music as consisting of “icy trap beats, with De La Soul influenced rhythms and even more soulful vocals that would make Kanye West proud”. The music press have certainly not been slowly in singing the praises of the band, either. A deal with Columbia followed and Hare Squead soon found themselves supporting the likes of Nas and Dua Lipa on tour.
